Apache National Forest
Apache National Forest, AZ.
The Apache National Forest in the White Mountains of east central Arizona has been my favorite place to fly fish and hike for many years. On May 29, 2011 a lone unattended campfire ignited a massive wildfire (The Wallow Fire) that burned the majority of this forest. Pictures of the burning forest have made my heart sink. This project is a selection of photos showing the beauty and burn of this area, what it was once and what it can be again with some time to heal.
Photography arranged north to south.
